Business Intelligence and Analytics

  • Thorough knowledge of business intelligence (BI) and business analytics (BA).

  • Ability to differentiate between analytics techniques (i.e., descriptive, predictive, prescriptive) and recognize appropriate business scenarios for using each.

  • Experience in data collection, data warehousing, and big data management.

  • Successfully implemented supervised and unsupervised data mining methods (classification, similarity matching, and clustering).

  • Used SQL to create tables, indexes, and views for business and other situations and insert, update, and delete rows in tables.

  • Used NoSQL to create cloud-based databases.

  • Designed databases in Hadoop, AWS, and MongoDB in proper UML format.

  • Successfully created interfaces and reports using tools within the MS Access DBMS.

  • Designed data warehouses and created the SQL procedures to extract, transform, and load data.

Cybersecurity Management

  • Complete understanding in implementing and managing cyber security defense.

  • Designed a comprehensive and resilient defense against modern cyber threats.

Product Management

  • Promoting the mission statement, core values, and managing the mentoring of at-risk youth for YMA for all the stakeholders in the organization.

  • Promoting the positive image of YMA in every facet of interaction with volunteers, parents, youth, and the general public.

  • Developed and formatted the first newsletter for YMA that is still currently being produced.

  • Developed careful analysis of trends in the Portland restaurant market.

  • Added creative ideas and design to create a restaurant that is easy to use and draws customers to high end culinary dishes that create greater profits.

Personnel and Account Management

  • Properly ensure that the organizations edict is followed by all YMA volunteers and during events.

  • Dominate in being the voice of YMA during all events when a speech needed to be presented.

  • Partnered with other non-profits to successfully co-brand events, help mentor more youth, and brought new business donors in.

  • Complete autonomy in successfully managing the day to day operations of a very fast paced and busy downtown non-profit.

  • Being the face companies and programs in their TV commercials.

  • Maintained a workload of hundreds of students at a time and hosted web seminars for hundreds of students online twice every week.

  • Managed all aspects of travel abroad implementations including defining student requirements, creating financial and family plans, and managing resources to support each student on an ongoing basis.

  • Developed, monitored, and trained new hires for every facet of the job for every company I have worked for.

Marketing and Budgeting

  • Defining the needs of business donors and how to properly market and advertise their mission during events.

  • Promoting the mission statement and core values for every company.

  • Budgeting and allocating thousands of dollars for events and programs for at-risk youth.

  • Developing and submitting federal grant proposals and generating revenue in excess of $150,000 per grant.

  • Writing letters of intent, communicating the core values of YMA, to prospective business donors, and raising hundreds of thousands of dollars in the process.

  • Successfully marketed the joys of traveling abroad towards hundreds of students who were then able to travel to other countries through AFS.

  • The ability to get past financial woes of students, by being successful in helping them create plans to generate financial growth towards the students’ trips. Helping them navigate financial aid, fundraisers, and many other innovative opportunities to generate income.
